“Quality Pure Gold Manufacturer” and “Registered Jewellery Agent” Program

Our Association has continued the “Excellence in Pure Gold Jewellery Supply Chain Management Program” initiated by the Hong Kong and Kowloon Associations in 2017. The program is divided into two components: “Quality Pure Gold Manufacturers” and “Registered Jewellery Agents.” Over the years, multiple seminars, briefing sessions, and networking meetings have been held. Notably, during the networking session on November 22, 2018, certificates were awarded to thirteen “Quality Pure Gold Manufacturers” for the year 2019. The event provided an opportunity for these manufacturers to introduce their products through dialogue and exchange, facilitating deeper understanding with the jewellery agents and paving the way for nominations of “Registered Jewellery Agents.”

The “Quality Pure Gold Manufacturers” program is supported by the Hong Kong Productivity Council in establishing system management standards. It encompasses assessments across various aspects—including raw materials, manufacturing processes, finished product sampling, and traceability. Those who pass the evaluation will be awarded a certificate. The program aims to enhance management quality and optimize technical systems.

Jewellery agents who supply traceable gold jewellery to Hong Kong jewellery retailers may apply to the Association to become “Registered Jewellery Agents.” Upon successful application, the Association will issue a certification document valid for two years.

These two programs aim to establish a “Quality Supply Chain” across all levels—upstream, midstream, and downstream—of the gold jewellery supply network. Each year, the relevant list will be published on the Association’s website. This initiative strives to build a credible and sustainable system that further strengthens consumer confidence in purchasing pure gold jewellery in Hong Kong, while enhancing the reputation and brand quality of participating businesses.
