About JGAHK
The Jewellers’ and Goldsmiths’ Association of Hong Kong Limited (“JGAHK”)
The Jewellers’ and Goldsmiths’ Association of Hong Kong Limited (“JGAHK”) was formed by the merger of the Hong Kong Jewellers’ and Goldsmiths’ Association Ltd. and the Kowloon Pearls, Precious Stones, Jade, Gold and Silver Ornament Merchants Association in 2021. In line with the mission of the two merged associations, JGAHK has established a code of conduct and integrity guidelines to foster the sustainable development of Hong Kong’s jewellery industry. These initiatives aim to expand both domestic and international markets, uphold the industry’s reputation, and ensure the consistent quality of its products. JGAHK also provides professional training, strengthens connections among industry participants, and serves as a bridge between the industry and the government - communicating the sector’s challenges and perspectives. Additionally, we are committed to promoting high-quality services for both local consumers and tourists, further solidifying Hong Kong’s reputation as a premier shopping destination and a shining “Pearl of the Orient”.
The Hong Kong Jewellers’ and Goldsmiths’ Association Ltd. (“HKJGA”)
Originally established in the early 20th century, the Hong Kong Jewellers’ and Goldsmiths’ Association Ltd. (“HKJGA”) was officially incorporated as a limited company in 1953. Its founding objectives were to promote the growth of the jewellery industry, mediate commercial interests both among its members and with other organizations, and to represent the industry’s views to the government on matters of development and legislation. In collaboration with the Kowloon Pearls, Precious Stones, Jade, Gold and Silver Ornament Merchants Association, HKJGA also helped formulate an industry code of conduct, launched the “Quality Gold Mark” and “Natural Fei Cui Quality Mark” certification schemes, and promoted training initiatives to nurture industry talent.
